This car is wild !! I have spent the last 2 years building this car up to be one of the fastest 87 cougar's around. This is my 1987 mercury Cougar XR7. The outside is all original down to the paint. Whats under the hood and under the car is a different story. Lets start under the hood; first there is a brand new Ford 308 with all the goodies including 13-14lb's of boost from my Vortech S-Trim charger and a Morpheus power pipe. The heads have been shaved, ported, and O-ringed along with Crane Cam tripple Valve springs and Scorpion 1.6 rockers. The block is .40 over with Speed pro Forged 10:1 pistons and a Trick Flow Stage 1 cam, Melling Oil pump, ARP bolts, Double Roller Timing Chain, Ford MotorSports Forged Connecting Rods. SFI 50 oz racing Harmonic Balancer, Holley adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 255 lph BBK fuel pump, Holley ignition module, FMU Blow off valve, etc. This is just some of the goodies. For exhaust, we have BBK chrome shorties attached to a 2 1/2 in offroad H-pipe attached to Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers. Trans is a full out B&M racing trans with a semi manual valve body attached to a 3200 stall converter. The rear is equipped with Ford motorsports 4.10 gears and a totally rebuilt posi unit built for some serious torque and HP. Custom subframe connectors hold the Fox Body tight built by Maximun Motorsports. The car also has an MSD Boost timing retard, very much needed and a complete mass air conversion from a mustang. I am using a mustang A9L 5-speed computer for better throttle response. This is just some of the goodies, not enough room for all. Here is the list of all the upgrades done so far in 2004 !! **Just upgraded to The Pro-M 83mm mass air meter calibrated for 42lb. injectors and S/C. This car should run in the 11's now as long as I have traction. Next On the List is the Tremec TKO500 or 600 conversion so I can push 500 RWHP !!!!!!!! ****Fords at Englishtown I ran a very respectable 12.1 @ 115 mph. Next year I'll hit the 11's. I need to make a few extra adjustments and install the TKO 600 over the winter along with a locker rear. +++++++New for 2006++++++++++++ VORTECH S-TRIM SUPERCHARGER 1998 Mark VIII electric Fan Trick Flow Aluminum Trans Pan I love torching Mustangs, they have nothing but respect for me, especially that it's an automatic. The car was tuned in on the dyno at 460 RWHP and 420 RWTQ.... In and auto.... With the TKO 600 conversion, I'll be at 500+ RWHP....
