Information:
This is my 1986 cougar. My Dad got it for spare parts for his 1991 Crown Vic. I was taking auto mechanics in school, and my Dad told me to practice on this car. Well the brakes didnt work on it, so I took me entire paycheck, and went down to the auto zone. I got a new disk brake, caliper and lots of brake fluid. the disk brake was compleatly gone. The caliper was seized on to it and I guess eventually colapsed after eating away the disk. The car is a police impound, bought for $110 dollars. It was involved in a hit and run accident where the suspect ran from the cops, and got away. The car was found and the suspect was boxed in. The car was disabled when it hit the cops car. When I got the car there was no exhaust, the cat was seized and 4 tips of the spark plugs were found inside of the cat. It ran very rich, and shot flames out of the cat. I bought new spark plug wires, plugs, brake components, exhaust(why did I find cool cats duel exhaust info in april of the next year) and four new tires before even getting it to start. I also found that 4 of the spark plug wires were on the wrong cylinders. plus a tune up from a mechanic. I hope that this is an insperation to all. I recently got this car back up and running, it will soon be road worthy, and mods to come!
