A 1985 5.0 HO engine bored .060, decked, and balanced the rotating assembly, 1986 AOD with guts from a 1993 4R70W, and a 3.45L locking rear-end from a 1984 turbo coupe. Bolt on goodies include, a 650 Holley Double-Pumper with 2" spacer, Edelbrock Airgap Performer RPM intake, ported 1975 truck heads with 42cc chambers and 1.94/ 1.60 Manley street flow valves, A Trickflow stage I roller cam, crane aluminum roller rockers 1.6 ratio, hypereutectic flattop pistons with raised deck height yielding 10.67:1 compression with this package of components. I have not dynode it yet but have not driven it 10,000 miles yet since it was assembled in the fall of 2001. It is my Sunday driver that I keep in my garage. Funniest day of my life was toasting a 2002 5 speed mustang with the dealer sticker still on his window. I beat him by 1/8 of a mile between two lights in town that are about 1/4 mile apart going up hill on a 40 degree grade. Even funnier is that he started it. HA HA.

Future Plans:
Plan to get the body straight and do some painting and apolstery work on it to hide the 152,000 miles on the odometer. She is my baby and my wife says that I can keep her, haha. Plan to have some pics on here soon. 10/10/08 Update: I have recently acquired a roller cam 5.8L from a 1995 F-150. There may be a possible 393 stroker in the old cougar's future. My only trouble is keeping the AOD together behind what I have. Overdrive is so delicate but nice when gas is $4.19/Gallon for hightest.
