Information:
Becides a new stereo system, a bigger radiator, and a Fram Air Hog air fliter, this Cougar is all stock. My grandparents bought the car brand new in June of '86. Shortly before my 16th birthday (July 2002) they bought a new car and gave me the Cougar. I absolutely love this car! I haven't had any major problems...just had to replace the power steering pump and the water pump. I put a bigger radiator into the car because it would overheat in the summer when traveling over hills with the A/C on. Now I can drive in the heat going uphill with the A/C on and the temp gauge doesn't even twitch! Cosmetically the car could use a paint job, the drivers seat is just starting to come apart at one seam, and the drivers sun visor cloth is starting to come off. The quick fix for the sun visor was a little strip of duct tape and a CD holder...you don't notice it at all. 107,000 miles, oil changes every 3,000 miles and still going strong! Recently I took a trip to New Mexico to visit a friend, and was struck by an F150. Luckily I had uninsured driver insurance (the guy had no insurance), so I'll be getting money to fix the car. The car is still drivable, but it needs a lot of body work. The drivers side door, fender, and nose need major work. It angers me much, but "stuff" happens. I just have to jump up and down and scream "GRAH! OH WELL!" hehe. On the bright side, I ran into a perfect Thunderbird LX, as posted under the 1996 section. :-)

Future Plans:
Eventually get the car repaitned factory color, Regatta Blue. Find original seat cloth and re-do front seat when it gets bad. Replace drivers side sun visor. And of course (as a first priority), fix the damage the New Mexico trip caused.
