1983-84 (w/guidepins) and 1987-88 models had these letters on the trunklid; 1985-86 were on the taillights. All used the same size lettering. LS (shown) and XR7 models had those letters added after the COUGAR.

For cars with special E&G Designer Series package (half roof), the lettering was affixed to the side of the car, near C-pillar emblem. The small numbered badges and/or griffins were at the base of the B-pillar on the roof band. |
