From the start, rust had always been a problem though. The car had been in a few minor accidents previous to my ownership, and things were, shall we say, not repaired to the highest of standards. Therefore the rust quickly returned and got out of hand very rapidly. It was deemed too expensive to fix. The car was sold in October 2001 to a friend who needed it for a daily driver. At the time of sale the car had 154,000 problem-free miles. It was an extremely reliable car for almost 4 years and I shall miss its pep.
