Chili's Cruise-In
Every year we go to the Chili's cruise-in on Saturday night because it's a great show, has lots of parking, and is probably the premiere weekly car show in my area, with an average of 300-400 cars. A few people asked me, "Do they have this show every year like this?" And I reply, "No....it's like this every week." Needless to say, everyone walks away impressed.

Steve
Ah yes, the talk of the weekend. Steve and his girlfriend Laura arrived in town a day early, after picking up their latest find, a 1987 Turbo Coupe. It ran so badly that it had to get towed to the hotel. Friday morning, Steve was on the phone trying to find an engine. Once secured, the parking lot of the hotel became the operating room for a heart transplant. Although they try to tell everyone they got to see a lot of the show, truth is they spent most of their time working on the car. But they weren't alone: plenty of people offered help. And that's what makes me proudest of this show.

Summit Racing
On Sunday afternoon we departed for Summit Racing in Akron, OH. Thirteen cars made the venture, with most people leaving for home from Summit. A few of us stopped by our new favorite hangout, Mike's Place in Kent, OH, for dinner on the way home.
