ABOVE: You know, there's something to be said about stealth. It's hard to believe but Nick's '87 XR7 has a blower under the hood (as if he hasn't told you yet!). The HO 5.0 has had quite a bit of work done to it as well, and it's been converted to a 5-speed. What's even more amazing is that you really can't hear the blower when inside the car. Nick had his buddy buff and detail the car for the show; it looked much sharper than when I last saw it at Carlisle. A very fast Cat with more plans for the future.

ABOVE: Mike and Jenn took the short drive down from Detroit to show off this sweet pearl white '88 XR7. The color is amazingly deceptive; at some points you swear it's Oxford White, but in direct sunlight (which we obviously didn't have for this photo) it is definitely pearl white. In any case, the car is slowly being modded, the first of which is the adjustable rear spoiler.

ABOVE: Jorge had sort of a homecoming with his '87 20th Anniversary Cougar: he bought the car only a few miles from the show! We go back about 4 years, and in that time he's really put some effort into this sweet Cat. His most recent addition is the set of ARE 15" mesh rims. I didn't think I'd like them, but after seeing them on the car in person, I think they are perfect for it. Oh, and Jorge did get a matching tan baby seat for the car too (alas, not Ultrasuede...but give him some time and I'm sure it will be).

ABOVE: It was fortunate that Tom's buddy Keith lives about an hour from me. Tom drove up to his house from Virginia a few days earlier, then stopped by the show for a few hours on Saturday. His '88 5.0 Turbo Coupe is a sweet ride, bar none. If you haven't seen this car yet, or hung out on the message boards, this is a 13-second screamer. I keep kidding Tom about his age, but one this is clear: for being an old fart, he sure knows his stuff about these cars!

ABOVE: My daily driver '88 Thunderbird Sport. I had to drive it because of the rain situation. After this photo shoot, we all made the trek back to my house, only about 5 miles down the road, so that I could drop off the 'Bird and pick up the convertible.
